Read The Excitment About Little Miss HISTORY’S Adventures!

“I loved Barbara Mojica's new book, Little Miss History Travels to Tombstone. When you read this book you'll learn so many things about the town of Tombstone, AZ. For example, did you know Ed Shiefflin was an Army scout who dreamed of becoming a prospector. His first mine failed, but the second one, called "Lucky Cuss" was one of the most successful ever. Word spread about the new riches in Tombstone and many other people settled there. Before long, the population grew from one hundred to 14,000! Not only that, but also, there were schools, churches, and even a bowling alley. Who were the Earp Brothers and what famous gunfight happened in Tombstone? How can you see some of the items from the early settlers of Tombstone? You'll lean so much from this book and you'll be entertained along the way. As always, Victor Ramon Mojica created wonderful illustrations for this new book. It's so important for children to learn about our nation's history. I highly recommend this book. You'll love it.”

“Little Miss History is traveling again and this time it's to the boyhood home of Franklyn Delano Roosevelt. With a charming mix of photos and illustrations, the Mojica's take the reader on a trip to Hyde Park where they will learn about the 32nd President. Roosevelt was elected President during some of the most trying times in history. America was in the grips of a crippling depression and the world teetered on the brink of war. Roosevelt, a polio victim navigated the country and the world through these critical times. The book touches on some of his most important contributions as well as his wife, Eleanor without losing the conversational and friendly tone. Mojica knows kids and how to write to them. She introduces complex ideas and makes them palpable for young minds. This is a great way to introduce a child to the assorted players that helped shaped this country.”

“The Little Miss History adventures are always fun to follow and a chance to learn something new. The series is a great mixture of surprising facts, exploring, and studying. I love the Little Miss History series for many reasons. One is that just when I think I already know all the facts that a child that age should know, Mr. & Mrs. Mojica surprise me with some facts that I had no idea about. And that’s how I learned how Santa Claus got all his work done on time…

In their new book, Little Miss History Travels to the North Pole, award-winning author Barbara Mojica and illustrator Victor Mojica take us to a place where there is no time zone. Where half of the year is light and half is dark. The story plunges young readers into a fascinating landscape with untouched wildlife, courageous first explorers, and brave indigenous people, living in the world’s harshest environment.

The images in their new book are beautiful and strongly support the story, which educates readers about many details of the frozen land, harsh climate, and majestic nature. Children will learn about the origin of Santa Claus and his friends in other parts of the world and their ancient legends, about the spectacular phenomena of nature and the names of some wildlife, such as the snow bunting. They’ll also discover what’s beneath the ice and what temperatures it has, who lives in the Arctic Circle, and who owns the North Pole. There’s so much to learn and so much to observe in this little fascinating book!

Throughout the informative artwork and engaging storyline, children will travel to the most captivating locations around the world. I definitely recommend this book for any age! Teachers, librarians, and parents, please grab all these books now! They will be a great source of knowledge for schoolrooms or home libraries. With the holidays coming, the Little Miss History series, especially this new release, is the perfect gift for any little history lover or anyone who likes to read, explore, and learn new things. It’s a holiday classic, one that young readers will appreciate and fall in love with.

Little Miss History Travels to the North Pole should be on top of YOUR holiday reading list! It will kindle your holiday spirit and your children will learn something useful. The clever informative illustrations and fun but educational story will charm and educate your kids for hours. Please take a chance on this book and have fun traveling to the North Pole with Little Miss History!”

A great read for reluctant young historians. I hope the Intrepid's gift shop are stocking this gem!

I'm a real fan of the Little Miss History books, and author Barbara Ann Monica has produced yet another fine book to add to the collection. This one is especially likely to appeal to all the many youngsters out there who love boats, planes and submarines - they will lap up a good helping of history without even realising it!

Combining real photographs with complementary illustrations, this book gives a colourful portrayal of the history of the famous Intrepid aircraft carrier, as well as showing the exciting exhibitions that this museum ship now holds. The fact that kids can touch and interact with these exhibits, as well as find out lots about U.S. naval history from them, is sure to get kids who live anywhere near New York clamouring for a visit.

For those of us who live further afield, Little Miss History does a splendid job at allowing us an interesting virtual tour of the museum, interacting with many of the exhibits on our behalf.
I especially like that Little Miss History even finds a moment to mention past racial wrongs being righted in modern times, with one young black sailor receiving
the Navy Cross 50 years after his outstanding display of bravery during WW2.

A great read for reluctant young historians, and also a great book to either anticipate or remember a visit to this wonderful museum.
I know that if I'm ever in New York then this ship will now be on my tick list of places to see. I hope the Intrepid gift shop are stocking this gem.”
